He is the light and the life of the world...

Hello everyone! This has been a very special and exciting week for us!  I can't express how thankful I am for this Gospel and for the opportunity to serve in the mission field. It has been such a blessing being able to see the light of the Gospel enter others homes and seeing the love of our savior grow in their lives. My ponderize scripture for this next week is in Mosiah 16:9 : "He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death." Our Savior is the light and life of the world. I am eternally thankful that we have a Savior that through Him, we can overcome death and sin and be able to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. It is truly comforting to me that His light is endless and that it will never be darkened. Our Savior is always there. He is there to help us back onto the path that leads to peace of mind, happiness and joy. He promises us through our faith and obedience to His commandments, the gift of eternal life with our families.

On Saturday, we had the amazing opportunity to have Bro. Cruz receive his endowments in the San Antonio Texas temple. It was such an amazing experience being able to see the happiness and joy radiate from him and his family. The temple is so beautiful! It's amazing to see all of the architecture and especially the stained glass on the windows of the Temple. We were able to attend a live sealing for the Sanchez family as well that same night. It was a very neat experience being able to see the fullness of the blessings of the church being performed at the Temple.

Yesterday, we were able to have Daniels baptism! It was great being able to see all of the support from his family and friends. It has been an amazing blessing being able to see the lives of his family strengthened and fortified in having him be baptized into the church.  Already he has seen tremendous blessings come into his life in being involved in the church and in the Gospel. I am a very thankful for this gospel and for the opportunity to see people change and become closer to our Savior. I know that the Brooks family will continue to be strong in the Gospel and will soon be able to have the priesthood in their home.

This past week we were able to meet with the Olivera family and were introduced to their son Juan. We were able to set him with a baptismal date for the 17th of April! It has been very exciting being able to see Stephanie and Jesse be baptized this past December and then to see Juan be baptized this coming spring! It has been a major blessing being able to see his desires to learn and to be baptized grow. We are excited to continue meeting with him!

Transfers are here! It turns out I will be staying here in Las Palmas and 10th Ward for another transfer. My companion Elder Nelson will be going up to Austin and I will be getting my new companion, Elder Lambert tomorrow. I am very thankful to continue working here and in seeing the work progress and roll forth. There is so much potential here! We are excited to further find those who are receptive and who desire to find the fullness of our Savior's Gospel.

Sorry that this email is short but I want you all to know how much I love you! Thank you all for the letters as well as the emails. I hope you all have a great week! Love ya!!

Love,

Elder Munro
