Here it is! And we wait...
Ty received his mission call on May 28 and opened it on May 29. That was a long 24 hours for us! He opened his papers at home while surrounded by family, friends and loved ones (some of them via Skype).
"Dear Elder Munro,
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Texas San Antonio Mission. You should report to the Mexico Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language."

Ty received his endowments at the Rexburg Temple. He was ready for this day and had been looking forward to it for a long time. What an awesome experience to go there together! It was even more special to have Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and his sweet birth mother, Trista, be there with us.

Ty's farewell was a wonderful day. He was blessed to have a lot of friends and family come. We had a great afternoon visiting with all who were able to make it. Ty loves all of his family so much.

What an exciting time! The summer was crazy busy getting ready to go and visiting everyone he could before he left. By the time August came he was ready...physically, mentally and spiritually!
In all the chaos of getting him to the airport on time with his life packed into two suitcases we forgot our camera! Thank heaven Grandma Cook took some pictures...only wish we would have gotten one of her with Ty! This was the happiest-sad day for us. So grateful Ty is so willing to serve his Father in Heaven.
