I give unto men weakness that they may be humble...

Hey mom sorry the email I sent out yesterday didn't go through. I'll just send a quick paragraph if that's ok. My ponderize scripture for this next week will be Ether 12:27 : And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them. I continue to find many things to improve and to be better at here in the mission. I have really been striving to become more like the Savior and to be his disciple. I know as we follow him and give a place for him in our hearts, His grace will be sufficient for us to overcome all the trials and weaknesses that we face.

I am so very thankful for my Savior and for his infinite atonement, that through him, we can reach our divine potential. This past week has been such a wonderful time for me to remember our Savior and to feel of his love and tender mercies. Our Heavenly Father truly loves us so very much that he gave us his beloved son, our Savior and Redeemer. I know that this gospel is true. I know without a doubt that our Savior lives. He is our Redeemer and our heavenly friend. I know that he will always be there for us and to lead and guide us in all that we do.

Thanks for all that you do for me mom. It was such a great time being able to see you guys and to talk to you all this past Christmas. I hope you all have a great week!

Love you forever!!

I Am the Light of the World...

Howdy from Texas! This week has been a very great week. I am so excited for Christmas this next week! I love this Christmas season in being able to remember the matchless gift that our Heavenly Father has given us.

My ponderize scripture for this next week will be,  John ‪8:12‬ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. I loved Elder Bednar's talk that he gave at the Christmas devotional about how our Savior was literally the life and the light of the world. I am so very thankful to have the Savior in my life. He has felt all of our pains and our weaknesses, our trials and our challenges, and through his light and grace, we can overcome all things. I love the spirit that I feel at this time of year because of the infinite love that our Savior has for us.

This past week has been really special being able to share the new Christmas video and helping others come unto Christ this Christmas season. I am so very thankful for this season to have hearts softened for the message of the restoration and of the gospel. Being able to share the gift of the message of the restoration helps others feel of the light and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We also had our last district meeting for the transfer this past Wednesday. I love the elders in our district! I have loved being able to serve with them and helping each other in the work. I will also be staying in the 10th Ward and the SA South Zone for 7 more weeks! I am so excited to be able to stay here in this area and to help others come unto Christ.

This past Sunday was very special as well. We were able to have our Christmas program in church. We sang many different Christmas songs that brought the spirit very strong into the meeting. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to go to church and to be spiritually renewed and rejuvenated for the coming week. I am so very thankful for this gospel. It is truly the way for us to return to our      Heavenly Father again someday. I know that my Savior lives. He is my Redeemer and loves us all so
very much. I know as we do all we can to follow Him and endure to the end, we will receive a fullness of joy in our Heavenly Father’s kingdom.

Sorry for the short email! We have been pretty busy this p-day but thank you  all for the emails and for the cards and packages that you have sent me! Hope you all have an amazing Christmas!! Love you all!!

Elder Munro

Come unto Christ and be perfected in him...

Howdy from Texas! This has been an amazing week! I have felt of the spirit and my Savior's love in so many ways this week and I am so very thankful for the gospel and for this opportunity to remember the Savior and his tender mercies in our lives. He truly is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. My ponderize scripture for this week is Moroni 10:32 : Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. I love this time of season that we have to come unto Christ and be perfected in him. I know as we continuously strive to be more like the Savior, we will find his grace and his tender mercies in greater abundance in our lives. I know that He lives and that his tender mercies are real. He truly loves us so much and desires us to feel of his love and come unto him.

The meeting with Elder Pino was amazing! The spirit was very strong. We were all able to meet him personally and shake his hand. I am so very thankful for our general authorities and for the Lord's servants. They lead and guide us though these last days and help us live the fullness of the gospel. Elder Pino talked about the reality of our calling and how we are all called by a prophet of God. He also talked about how we are representatives of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and His church. As we continue to improve our teaching abilities and strengthen our testimonies, we will be able to become the servants and missionaries that our Heavenly Father desires us to become. I am so very thankful for his enabling power in my life that I am able to do the things that the Lord would have me do. I testify that He is always there and loves us so very much.

Throughout this past week we have seen so many miracles in the work. We were able to see less actives who were having hard times and were praying for help and guidance as we visited them. I know the Lord guides us to those who need our help and that he is watching over all his children. I know as we pray for eyes to see miracles, we will truly see the hand of the Lord in our lives.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to have Stephanie and Jesse's baptism! It was so amazing being able to feel the spirit and to see them enter the path that leads to eternal life. It was awesome being able to have bro Oliveira baptize them both! He did an amazing job. I am so very thankful for the gospel and for all the blessings that our Heavenly Father gives us. He truly wants us to return home to him with our families someday.

I love this Christmas season! This month is often called by missionaries the "Sabbath of our missions" where we get to increase our love for our Savior and strengthen our desires to live Christ centered lives. He is the light and the life of the world and as we give Him our hearts this Christmas season and always, we will be able to reach our eternal potential and become like our Heavenly Father.

Thank you all for the emails! I love you all so much! I hope you all have a great Christmas season.

Love,
Elder Munro

For Unto Us a Child is Born...

Howdy from Texas! This past week has been really good. I continue to find many blessings and tender mercies in my mission that have been strengthening my testimony of my Savior and his work. I love this Christmas season and having the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

He truly loves us so much and desires us to come unto him this Christmas season and always. I wanted my ponderize scripture this week to be about the Christmas season and I love the scripture in Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. I love this scripture because of the different names that the scripture gives of our Savior. Reading the many different names of our Savior through out the scriptures gives us a greater testimony of his mission and role as our Savior and Redeemer.

I love being able to read about the birth of our Savior and being able to remember the greatest gift ever given. I love the scripture in John 3:16 : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Our Heavenly Father truly loves us so much that he gave us ourSavior to overcome physical death and sin so that we may be able to live eternally with him again someday.

This past week has been great! We have been able to see Obed and Stephanie pretty frequently to help them prepare for their baptisms. They’re both ready and excited! We are so excited for this next Sunday to be able to have them baptized and enter the strait and narrow path that leads to eternal life. I am so very thankful for this gospel and for those who truly desire to come unto Christ. I love this work!

We have also been seeing a lot of referrals and less actives. We love helping others be able to become active again in the gospel. It's amazing being able to see the light of the gospel truly lead, guide, and change others to become more like Christ.

We had the opportunity yesterday to watch the Christmas devotional. It was really good! I loved Elder Bednar's talk as well as President Uchtdorf's. It is amazing to know that our Savior is the light of the world and a light that is endless that can never be darkened. I loved how Elder Uchtdorf mentioned theSavior as the “Generous One”. He truly has given us so much and continues to bless us with numerous miracles and tender mercies in our lives. I loved the music too! I love being able to feel of the spirit through music and feeling the love of our Savior.

Tomorrow we'll have the opportunity to see hear from Elder Piño from the quorum of the seventy. We are so excited! We love being able to receive counsel from the Lord’s chosen servants and to be spiritually renewed and strengthened. I am so very thankful for our general authorities who lead and guide us to follow our Savior and to live His gospel. This mission experience has truly been a blessing and I am eternally grateful for this opportunity in my life.

Thanks for all the emails and the Christmas wishes! I love you all so much! Hope you all continue to have a wonderful Christmas time. Love y'all!

Mom: I got the Christmas photos. They look amazing! Brings back a lot of fun memories of home. :) I think we can be able to use FaceTime. I am so excited to be able to see you! The package hasn't come yet but I think it will come tomorrow. Thanks for all that you do for me mom, I feel bad that I don't get to write dad or Kassi that much because we're so busy but I want them to know how much I love them!! Hope you all have a great week. I will let you all know about Elder Piños devotional for next week. We're very excited. Love you guys!!
